World History

Course Description
Students world views are only as broad as their life experiences. This class will try to expose students to the powerful stories of the world's people thus expanding their views. We will make learning about past relevant to today's world. We will have the student experience history to help comprehend another's situation from a different perspective, and to develop more active empathy with people from another time. We will attempt to link the past with the present. We are going to concentrate on other perspectives of the world with a focus on Non-Western Civilization. The later part of the school year will have a central focus on the world wars of the 20th century.
